GDPR-compliant document process with baiond
Four steps from the incoming document to the validated result. At step two, baiond decides which AI model may see the document at all.
-
Ingestion & pre-validation
Document capture, structure check and preprocessing for the AI pipeline.
-
LLM routing
Classification & routing
Auto-LLM selection based on GDPR and data sensitivity.
Standard Cloud LLM + DLPGDPR / sensitive Dedicated modelNo personal data beyond what DLP masks: the request goes to an enterprise cloud LLM. Personal or sensitive data: the request stays with a dedicated model.
-
Workflow engine
Business rules enforcement, data routing and continuous audit logging.
-
Human-in-the-loop
Manual exception handling and a review cockpit for low-confidence cases.
The security and governance control plane that enforces these guarantees
Whichever model answers, the same four rules apply to every request.
-
Zero-training policy enforcement
Routes requests strictly to enterprise API endpoints bound by DPAs (data processing addenda) and zero data retention agreements, preventing vendor model retraining.
-
Inline DLP & anonymisation
Intercepts prompt payloads before submission to cloud LLMs and automatically masks sensitive fields.
-
Stateless gateway architecture
Processes requests in volatile memory, without caching or saving raw document content to persistent storage.
-
Audit compliance
Records execution-level metadata for regulatory reporting, without storing raw text payloads.
Built to stay in your hands
-
Model routing
Real-time classification automatically picks the compliant LLM based on GDPR rules.
-
GDPR & EU infrastructure
All platform data is hosted in the EU (Germany). Last penetration test: 09/26.

Future on-premise LLM Roadmap
On the roadmap: local, sovereign models, connected without changing your processes.
Questions your data protection officer will ask
Where is our data hosted?
All data on the baiond platform is hosted in the EU, in Germany.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. baiond routes requests only to enterprise API endpoints bound by data processing addenda and zero data retention agreements, so the model vendor cannot retrain on your data.
Which AI model sees our documents?
That depends on the document. Standard requests go to an enterprise cloud LLM, with sensitive fields masked first. Documents with personal or sensitive data stay with a dedicated model. The AI is exchangeable: the routing rules decide, not a single vendor.
Does baiond store the documents?
No raw documents. The gateway is stateless and processes requests in volatile memory. For audits, baiond keeps execution metadata only, never the raw text.
Can the AI run on our own servers?
On-premise models are on the roadmap. They connect to the same routing, so your processes stay as they are.
