The situation

In the heart of Tulln, the Haus der Digitalisierung is Lower Austria's showcase for digital progress – a building that has to live what it exhibits. Rooms are booked by visitors and teams, doors open for different groups at different times, and the planted façade needs water, but not too much.

Each of these ran in its own system. The goal: one digital foundation for energy and space management that is reliable, scales with the house and shows its sustainability data openly.

What baiond does there

baiond brings everything into one platform, from room reservations and access control to energy tracking and weather-based automation.

  • Rooms and access: bookings, occupancy and door access in the Space System, room by room
  • Energy: consumption tracked per area, visible next to how the rooms are used
  • Façade and green areas: sensors measure soil moisture, façade humidity and temperature – irrigation runs automatically, and irregularities show up early
  • Weather: forecasts feed the automation, so the house reacts before the rain or the heat

The result: transparent sustainability data and a measurable contribution to the region's smart city strategy.

The sensor reports to the baiond Gateway, the Space System puts the reading in context (location, threshold, history), and the AI agent turns it into an answer.

  • Heated, empty 4
  • Setpoint 21°C
  • Rooms on floor 15

Four of 15 rooms. Meeting rooms 3.04, 3.07, 3.12 and 3.15 are held at 21 °C but have shown no presence for 3 h or longer, and none of them is booked before 14:00.

Recommendation

Lower the four rooms to 17 °C until 13:30 and let the setpoint follow bookings on this floor from now on.

Shall I set that up for the whole floor?

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Can baiond control the irrigation of a green façade?

Yes. Soil moisture sensors in the planters and the weather forecast decide when to water. The irrigation runs only where the soil is dry and pauses when rain is coming.

Do room booking and access control need their own software?

Not necessarily. In the Space System every room carries its bookings, its occupancy and its doors. Existing systems connect through the baiond Gateway, so in most cases nothing has to be replaced first.
